Part Kits
Purpose To build a list of inventoried parts that can be used on a Work Order or Point of Sale ticket. Building a list saves you the time of entering each part and quantity individually.
Any type of kit (paint, cleaning, etc.) can be created by simply entering the inventory part numbers of the items to be included in the kit.
From the menu select Inventory Management> Maintenance Functions> Parts Kits to create kits

Parts Kit ID - Enter a Parts Kit ID. Do not use TK- in the id, just the number/ name to be used for the kit.

Description - Enter a Description of the kit. This description only appears when you print a list of all kits.

Part Number - Click in the Part Number column in the Parts grid to add a part to the kit or type a key word preceded by a backslash "" to access a cross-reference list. F6 search works by right click in grid.

The Parts Description is displayed.

Quantity – Click in the Quantity column to enter a quantity for this part that should be included in this kit. Enter the remaining parts that make up this kit.

Click the Save button to save the kit.
To initiate a kit in the Point-of-Sale module press F7. To initiate a kit in Parts (Service) programs, you may also use right click feature F7 or enter the letters TK followed by a dash (-) then the KIT name while at a Part Number prompt. For example, if you enter a paint kit called PAINT1 which consists of 3 rollers, 1 pan, 2 brushes, and 5 drop clothes; you would enter TK-PAINT1 and the system would bring in all the parts and quantities in the kit. If quantities needed to be adjusted, select the part, and change quantity field
The Service module also provides the ability to store a parts kit on an operation code. When an operation code with a parts kit is added to a work order, the parts from the kit will automatically be added to the work order.
