List Grids

F6 invokes the List Grid. The List Grid allows you to list the items of a file at a particular field. For example, any time you are prompted for a customer number, you can press F6 to get a list of the Customer File in alphabetical order. Once you click on (highlight) the item you want to select, press Select to select it.

Working in the List Grid:

  • The UP and DOWN arrow keys move the pointer to the next item in the direction you indicate.
  • The scroll bar on the right scrolls the list forward and backward.
  • The Row indicator field on the bottom left shows the current row that focus is on in the grid. When the data is displayed and the field is highlighted you can simply type in the row number without clicking the row.
  • The Select button selects the highlighted option.
  • The Cancel button exits the List Window.

Selecting multiple items in a List Grid - There are certain places in the application, where you are able to select a group of items one right after the other. While in a grid, the List function key brings up several items to choose from. Using a combination of your mouse and control key, more than one item can be selected at a time. For example, selecting Invoices to apply credit memos against or selecting Work Orders to print in Service Printing.

  • Ctrl-Left Mouse Click Hold down the control [ctrl] key and tap the Left Mouse button on each item you want selected.  Each line will appear highlighted when selected. Click the item again to unselect it.
  • F8 Select All – While in a List Window, F8 Selects (highlights) ALL items. Note: If there are multiple pages in the list, all items on each page will be selected.
