F6 LISTING – USING THE SEARCH FUNCTIONALITY

When the F6 key or right click F6 click is used the listing grid will allow string searches on each column in the listing.

These examples would work when searching the Inventory File

"OIL PUMP"         Will give all results that contain the exact term OIL PUMP

" OIL "                Will give all results that contain the word OIL. Note the space before and after OIL within the double quote marks.

5694                   Will give all results with the exact string 5694 in any column regardless the position of the string in the column. This is useful when you know some or part of the id, barcode, or vendor part.

115.24                Will give all results with the exact string 115.24 in any column, this is useful for searching by the price when you know the exact price of the item.

These examples would work when searching the Customer Boat File

“MONEY PIT”     Will give all results that contain the exact term MONEY PIT

“ MONEY “         Will give all results that contain the word MONEY. Note the space before and after MONEY within the double quote marks.

350                   Will give all results with the exact string 350 in any column regardless the position of the string in the column.  This is useful when you know some or part of the boat model, or boat id, etc.

FISH                  Will give all results with the exact string FISH in any column regardless the position of the string in the column.  This is useful when you know part of the boat name or customer name.
