Office 365 SMTP
For those using Office/Microsoft 365 for your email(SMTP) server. Unfortunately Microsoft has discontinued Basic SMTP Authentication / SMTP AUTH which is how DockMaster connects to your Office/Microsoft 365 account to directly send emails from DockMaster and POS. This has been replaced by OAuth 2.0.
If you or other Clerks have Office Suite 64bit install on a workstation you can setup a Clerk profile in DockMaster to use Outlook to send emails and bypass the old Office/Microsoft 365 SMTP server. First, get with your IT to confirm if 64bit Office Suite installed and if they need to upgrade it from 32bit to 64bit. Once installed/confirmed Office Suite 64bit you will need to set a Clerks profile to use Outlook for email. In DockMaster navigate to: System Administration / Security / Clerks. Enter the Clerk ID or F6 to search for Clerk IDs. In the bottom right is the check box for "Use Outlook for Email", if that is checked that Clerk ID will now send all emails from DockMaster via their installed Outlook on their workstation. Please note any changes made to a Clerk profile, that Clerk will need to log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.
Unfortunately for POS, it cannot use Outlook to email POS receipts and still uses Office/Microsoft 365 Basic SMTP Authentication / SMTP AUTH to connect to and send emails. Using SendGrid is the replacement for your SMTP server settings.
