Parts Kits
Parts Kit Maintenance
Purpose To build a list of inventoried parts that can be used on a Work Order or Point of Sale ticket. Building a list saves you the time of entering each part and quantity individually.
Any type of kit (paint, cleaning, etc.) can be created by simply entering the inventory part numbers of the items to be included in the kit.
Interface in the Point of Sale and Service Modules:
To initiate a kit in the Point-of-Sale module press F7. To initiate a kit in Parts (Service) programs, enter the letters TK followed by a dash (-) then the KIT name while at a Part Number prompt. For example, if you enter a paint kit called PAINT1 which consists of 3 rollers, 1 pan, 2 brushes, and 5 drop clothes; you would enter TK-PAINT1 and the system would bring in all the parts and quantities in the kit.
The Service module also provides the ability to store a parts kit on an operation code. When an operation code with a parts kit is added to a work order, the parts from the kit will automatically be added to the work order.
