Physical Count with AML Device

AML Handheld-This document will walk you through how to enter quantities and upload data counts from handheld device when completed.

Physical Count

  1. Use the handheld data collector to count inventory. Count all inventory quantities or all that will be included in a list.
  2. The physical count entry screen will contain a field for the part number and the quantity. Enter or scan the item’s UPC or part number. Then enter the count quantity.

Upload the Physical Inventory Counts

Once you have performed the Physical Inventory Count for all items the handheld file is ready to be uploaded into DockMaster.

  1. Return to a Workstation where the AML sync software is installed. Start the sync software by clicking the desktop icon.

  2. Connect the handheld to the computer directly with a USB cable.

  3. Follow the handheld instructions for copying the data file from the handheld to the workstation.

  4. In DockMaster go to: System Administration> Utilities> HandHeld Data Units> Upload Parts Physical Data

  5. Select your location if prompted.

Fetch files from the LDX10 and M7225

The DC Sync application is utilized to “fetch files” from the LDX10 and M7225 handhelds once the data collected it is ready to be uploaded into DockMaster. The device must be connected to the workstation that has the DC Sync application on it.

  1. To prepare the device for fetching files, close all open applications on it by tapping Home, then Exit. The device must be displaying the desktop before any files can be fetched.
  2. Connect the device to the workstation and start the DC Sync application, it may take a moment to recognize the device. The connection status in the top right of the application will change from "RED" (disconnected) to "GREEN" (Connected).
  3. Any data files that have been created on the device will appear in the Data File group on the left side of the window.
  4. Click the file(s) to select them for fetching, once selected click the single or multiple move right arrow to move the selected file(s) to the right-side data file group.
  5. Click the fetch button to move the file(s) from the handheld to the workstation.
  6. The files are uploaded to the folder path and files names shown in the table below. Each file will include the current data and the sequence number in the file name when it is saved after fetching.

*If the path and folder does not exist, it will be created during the fetch.
