Update Inventory Price/Cost

Update Inventory Price/Cost

From the DockMaster menu, select Inventory Management > Pricing > Update Inventory Price/Cost

This routine will update the Inventory File with the last calculated values for Selling Prices 1 - 5 and/or Vendor Cost. Since Price Change Using Factor and Price Change By Percent can be run as many times as you like, only the last calculated value is stored for each part.

Note: You can run a sample report using the Report Generator to view the calculated price/cost changes that will occur. Use the attributes called New Price 1, New Price 2, New Price 3, New Price 4, New Price 5, Cost Change, Effective Price (effective price date), Effective Cost (effective cost date).

!Warning: Once prices have been applied the change cannot be undone without performing a data restore from the backup file!

  • Effective Date - Enter the Price/Cost Change Effective Date you want to process. An effective date should have been entered while performing Price Change Using Factors or Price Change By Percent; enter that date here.

  • Vendors - Enter a Vendor Number or leave the prompt blank to select ALL Vendors; press F6 to select from a List, or a keyword preceded by a backslash "" to access a cross-reference List.

  • Click the Process button to update the Prices/Cost with the calculated values.
