Storage Proposal Single
STORAGE PROPOSAL- The purpose of the document is to walk you through the creating of a single Storage/Dockage Proposals/Contracts using the DockMaster system.
Prerequisites: The Customer and Boat File need to be created prior to creating a proposal.
Storage proposals can produce your contacts with complete customer and boat information. These proposals can easily be converted to storage invoices as well as tracking unconfirmed proposals.
Marina Management>Storage Proposals>Storage Proposal Maintenance
To create a new proposal, click new which will generate a new proposal ID.
Search for the customer or enter the customer ID number to create new proposal. Select the boat for the list of the customer’s boats – The system will populate the boat’s current slip location, billing codes and total pricing will auto populate.
Boat Location and Billing Codes can be entered or overridden on the proposal screen. (These will not change the current location or billing codes on the boat file.)
You may create a proposal with no slip ID if the boat is not placed yet in system (NOTE: this will not place the vessel. You will need to use boat placement or visual marina to assign slip)
Proposal date and balance due date will default to the current day and can be overridden. Deferred date and Payment Schedule (if billing code has a payment schedule) can be overridden. If a Deposit, or Discount date is needed to print on the contract, these fields will need to be entered. Note dates are used only for printing purposes.
Bill Codes must be entered to estimate charges. Billing Codes can be added or changed along with the rate. Save prior to print/email with new total.
