POS Debit Customer Account
Debit Customer Account
The Debit Customer Account process allows for debiting the customer's accounts receivable. It is useful for paying out the account balance when it is in a credit balance state to cash or credit card. Note that this process replaces the "Negative ROA" routine in the 6.2.x version of Point Of Sale module.
Clerk ID - This field contains the clerk id for the clerk that is processing the transaction. Note pressing enter on this field will select the clerk id for the clerk that is logged in.
Customer ID - This field contains the customer id for the transaction.
Current Balance - This field contains the customer's current balance on account if any. Note this field is for reference only.
Payment Amount - This field contains the payment amount to be returned for the transaction.
Comments - This field can contain any comments that the clerk wishes to enter about the transaction that is being processed.
Debit Customer Account Transaction
- From the Main screen in POS tap the Functions button.
- Tap the Debit Customer Account button.
- When the form open press enter to select the current logged in clerk id or enter a new one.
- Enter the customer id or \ search to locate the customer by partial last name, telephone number, partial boat name, slip id, or the miscellaneous field.
- Enter the payment amount to return.
- Enter any comments as needed.
- Tap the Finish/Pay button to complete the transaction.
- Select the pay type for the amount being returned and enter the amount. Note to cancel and return to the Debit Customer Account form, tap the Return To Debit button. The transaction will reopen to allow correction as needed before proceeding with debiting the customer balance.
- Tap the Complete button to complete the transaction and print.
- Tap the New button to start another debit customer account transaction or tap the Close button to return to POS.
