Search Items Advanced

The Search Items button allows for searching of the catalog(s) defined for the particular register or location. Only those items that exist in the selected catalog are shown, to search the entire inventory master file use the Add Items button instead.

1. To search for an item tap the Search Items button in the Item tape.
2. Accept or change the current selected catalog.
3. To perform an Item number search, tap in the Item field and key in the partial item number, tap the appropriate Starts With or Contains radio button. Note as the part number is entered the Catalog tape will begin to sort automatically for the closest match.
4. To perform a description search, tap in the description field and key in the partial description, tap the appropriate Starts With or Contains radio button. Note as the description is entered the Catalog tape will begin to sort automatically for the closest match.
5. Once located in the tape accept the highlighted item or tap the appropriate item and then tap the Add arrow to add the item to the ticket tape.
6. Upon moving to the ticket tape, the highlighted item's information including cost can be edited as needed.
7. Tap the Close button to return to the ticket tape.
