Boat Model, Inventory G/L Accounting Hierarchy

Sales Management, Inventory G/L Accounting Hierarchy

Department - Enter the Department for the Boat/Motor/Trailer/Other Model or Inventory item. General Ledger accounts can be defined for the department.

The system uses the following hierarchy to determine the General Ledger accounts to which sales, cost of sales, and inventory are posted:

  1. The system will check the Department field in Boat/Motor/Trailer/Other Model or Inventory Maintenance.
  2. The system will check the Location. See Boat Sales Accounts tab in Location Maintenance.
  3. If General Ledger accounts are not found in the Department field of the model or inventory item or in the Location, the General Ledger Accounts defined in the General Ledger tab of Boat Sales Parameters will be used.
