Dealers using DockMaster get a more accurate picture of what their profit margins really are on items sold. Item cost, floor plan interest, freight, as well as prep and rigging costs are all tracked by the system so that the dealer knows the actual cost of the item sold.
Boat, Motor, Trailer, and Other Inventory
- Boat, motor, and trailer models can be entered manually or from a manufacturer’s model file. The model file contains information such as: manufacturer, year, size, available options, price, and cost. Additionally models for other items can be entered manually.
- The Model File stores (6) different price lines: List Price and (5) user defined prices. Price formulas (also user defined) can be used to automatically update the user defined prices based on List or Cost.
- DockMaster allows you to bundle and package boat, motors, trailers, and other items.
Factory Orders
- Factory orders can be printed or faxed from your client station. You can assign a stock and/or serial number when the order is made, or when the item is received.
- An order can be attached to a sales contract so that when an item is received, the assigned serial number is automatically attached to the contract.
Prepping and Rigging a Boat
- The Service Management area allows you to enter prep and rigging work orders for a serialized boat. The cost of the work order will automatically update the boat’s carrying cost when the work order is closed.
Finance & Insurance
- The financing program supports retail finance calculations, balloon note calculations, payment rollback, credit life (net and gross), accident, and health, and add/subtract credit life and accident & health insurance
- Function keys allow you to quickly increase or decrease the loan term, and add or subtract credit life and accident & health insurance.
- A Quick Quote program provides pricing and monthly payment calculations. A quote can be saved for a prospect and recalled at any time.
Sales Contracts
- Sales contracts can be initiated using a model template; serial or stock numbers do not have to be assigned until the contract is closed. This feature allows you to build a boat contract and save it for future reference.
- The Contract Maintenance screen handles the following functions:
- Enter Financing information
- Enter Trade-in information
- Enter Employer information
- Enter Co-debtor information
- Enter contract Deposits
- View Profit Screen (Deal Recap)
- When closing a contract, the user can display the journal transaction that will be posted to the General Ledger and make modifications if necessary. Upon contract closing, a boat file will be created for future use by the Service module.
Prospecting
- The Sales Management area includes prospecting activities.
