Quote Maintenance​

Purpose To allow sales people to provide pricing and payment information to a prospect without creating a sales contract. The quote can later be turned into a sales contract by opening the Sales Contract Maintenance form and pressing F8 Key or the Create From Quote F8 link in the Command Panel.

From the menu select Sales Management, Sales Functions, Quote Maintenance

The Quote Maintenance and Contract Maintenance forms have basically the same functionality. This section will only address the differences between the two forms.

  • Quote Number - To begin a new Quote, you can enter the letter "N" or Click the "New" Button on the Command Panel. If the quote already exists in the system, you can access that quote by entering the Quote Number or by pressing F6 key or the List F6 link in the Command Panel to see list of open contracts; you can also enter all or part of the prospect/customer name preceded by a backslash "" to access a cross-reference list of quotes. You can also create a quote from a sales contract by pressing F8 key or Create From Contract F8 link in the Command Panel.

  • All other prompts in the Main tab are identical to the Main tab in the Sales Contract Maintenance form. Please refer to the Sales Contract Maintenance topic for details on each prompt.
