Recalculate Flat Rate Amounts

Purpose: Gives you the ability to change the hourly rate on selected flat rated operations all at the same time. Operation codes can be selected by Operation type, Flat Rate Methods or Category.

Prerequisite: In order for the recalculation to work, it is necessary to have both the standard hours and retail labor rate filled in on the Operation.

From the menu, select Service, Operation Codes, Recalculate Flat Rate Amounts.

Recalculate Flat Rate Amounts

Labor Rate - Enter in the new Flat Rate amount to be calculated.

Operation Code - Enter in the Operation Code to update. To get a list of Operation codes, press the F6 Key or List F6 from the Command Panel. Leave the field blank if you want the system to select ALL Operation Codes.

Operation Code List - A list of operation codes to be recalculated can be created using the Report Generator.

Operation Type - Select the operation type you want to recalculate the flat rate amount (if applicable). Valid options are Retail, Internal, Warranty, Prep, Rigging or Assembly.

Flat Rate Method - Select the method of calculating the flat rate amount. Valid options are Percentage, Net, Labor, Parts or Cap.

Category - To select the Operation by Category Code, select the category here. To get a list of Category codes, press the F6 Key or List F6 from the Command Panel. Leave the field blank if you want the system to select ALL Category Codes.

Category List - A list of operation category codes to be recalculated can be created using the Report Generator.

Recalculating

  • To make updates to the Operation Flat Rate Amount, press the Update button. A window will pop up showing how many opcodes where selected and how many were modified. To verify changes, go into Maintain Operation Codes and review the Flat Rate amount. The system should have calculated the new flat rate amount by multiplying the labor rate entered by the amount of hours estimated to complete the job.
