Time Entries
The Time Clock entry method works just like punching in and out of a time clock. If your technicians are used to punching in and out on jobs, then the Time Clock entry would work for you.
DockMaster recommends setting up a dedicated workstation, just for clocking in and out of jobs. When the technician starts a job, he/she would go to the computer and pull up the work order and clock in, which would enter a start time. When the job is complete, the technician would go back to the computer and enter technician notes and a stop time.
Note: clocking in and out can be made easier through Job Cards. Job Cards will have a barcode on them, which can be scanned in the Time Clock entry window. If you are interested in finding out more about Job Cards, ask your System Administrator.
