G/L Inquiry
G/L Inquiry
From the menu select General Ledger > G/L Inquiry
Purpose To produce an audit trail report of all activity for any account in your Chart of Accounts for any range of activity dates. All posted activity for the given account will be reported in activity date sequence as posted. In order to use the G/L Analysis as a balancing tool, a running balance column displays the account balance as each detail activity line is displayed.

Account Number - Enter the Account Number for analysis or press
F6
to list the Chart of Accounts. -
The screen will display the Debits and Credits for all accounting periods in the current year. Click on the down arrow next to the Year at the upper right corner of the screen to change the year displayed.

In the Account Detail enter a Start and End Date and click the Display Detail button to view the transactions in the range selected.
- Start Date - Click in the Start Date prompt to enter the starting date for the detailed analysis.
- End Date - Click in the End Date prompt to enter the ending date for the detailed analysis. This date cannot be less than the Start Date.

The Account Detail grid will display all transactions for the selected date range. A sample transaction listing is shown below.

Click the Print button to print the activity range displayed in the Account Detail grid. A sample report is shown below.
