Boat Description Codes​

From the DockMaster menu, select File Maintenance > Boat Description Codes

Boat Description Codes allow the user to categorize the boats in the Customer Boat File. These codes are attached to a boat through the Customer Boat File to help define the type of boat.

Some sample codes are shown below:
PB Power Boat

SB Sailboat
TR Trawler

FF Fishing Fleet

Categorizing your Customer Boat File allows you to issue notices to a group of customers whose boats will be affected by a change in company policy.

A list of codes will be displayed on the screen. To add a new code:

  • Code – Enter a Boat Description Code. The code can be alphanumeric up to three (3) characters long. Press Enter to continue to the Description field.
  • Description - Enter a description for this code.
  • Save – Press the Save button to add the code to the listing. The new code appears at the bottom of the list. The next time you open the Boat Description Code Maintenance, the code will appear in alphabetical order.
