Temporarily Departing a Boat for Transient Use

Temporarily Departing a Boat for Transient Use

From the DockMaster menu, select File Maintenance > Customer Boats

The DockMaster system allows you to temporarily make an occupied slip available for use by the Reservations module for a specific date range. This function does not affect any billing on the permanent slip holder, and merely marks the slip as available for the date range entered.

  • Pull up the boat you are temporarily departing and click on the Temp Departure Date prompt.
  • Enter a Temporary Departure Date for this boat. This field is used in conjunction with the Reservations module to allow you to designate a slip as available for transient use. For example, if you have a storage customer who is taking his boat out of a slip for two weeks, you can put in a Temporary Departure Date and Return Date for this boat which would then allow this slip to be used in the selection process by the Reservations module. Note: the slip must be designated as a transient slip in the Slip File Maintenance program.
  • Click in the Temp Return Date prompt to enter a Temporary Return Date for this boat. This date should only be entered if a date was entered in the Temporary Departure Date field. See above for a detailed explanation of the use of this field.
  • Click Save to save the changes.
