Customer Category Codes
From the DockMaster menu, select File Maintenance > Customer Category Codes
Category codes help you organize your customers into groups for activities like printing reports and labels. These codes are attached to a customer through the Customer File. Each customer may have an unlimited number of categories maintained on his file at one time.
You can separate your customers into groups by size, location, type or even importance of account. Some examples are shown below.
- S=Storage
- B=Boat Buyer
- W=Warranty Vendor
- EMP=Employee
- SR=Service
- FT=Fishing Tournament
The following programs use customer categories:
- Print A/R Statements
- A/R Aging Report
- Customer Labels
A list of codes will display on the screen. To add a new code:
- Code – Enter a Customer Category code. The code can be alphanumeric up to three (3) characters long.
- Description - Enter a description for this code.
- Save – Press the Save button to add the code to the listing. The new code appears at the bottom of the list. The next time you open the Customer Category Code Maintenance, the code will appear in alphabetical order.
To delete a code, select it in the Customer Category list and press the trash can icon.
