Skill Type Codes [FM]

Skill Type Codes​

From the DockMaster menu, select File Maintenance > Skill Type Codes

Skill Type Codes are used in the Technician file. Each technician can have an unlimited number of skill types associated within their file. New Skill Type Codes should be added when you want to identify a new skill class among your service technicians.

For Example, you could designate the various job types your Service Department performs, such as:

  • OB Outboard Engine Repair
  • YW Yard Work
  • E Electric Work
  • F Fiberglass Work
  • P Painting

Skill Type Code Maintenance

  • Code – Enter in any combination of up to 5 alphanumeric characters or enter an existing Skill Type Code from the Skill Type Code grid. You can use your mouse to click on an existing code.
  • Description – Enter a description of the Skill Type Code using any combination up to 25 letters or numbers.
  • Save – Press the Save button from the Command Panel to save the information you just entered.
  • Delete – Press the Delete button from the Command Panel to delete a Skill Code. Please check with your System Administrator before doing so.
