Layout Designer Setup​

The Layout Designer software should be installed on each workstation that will need the capability to design PDF layouts. To connect to the DockMaster database, the Server Manager software must be installed first. There must also be a valid Server DSN defined on the workstation.

Install Layout Designer

Follow the instructions outlined below to perform the installation.

  1. Download the SetupLD.exe file from the FTP site.
  2. Locate the folder where the file was saved to and open it to run the installation.
  3. When prompted answer Yes to perform an Install/Upgrade of the Layout Designer software.
  4. The install program will un-package the software and prompt to resume the installation. Click Next to continue
  5. When the install has completed click Finish.
  6. Confirm that the PDF storage location is defined in the Server setup. If the path is not defined follow the setup instructions to add it.
  7. Confirm that the PDF Path is defined in the DockMaster Parameters on tab three. If the path is not defined follow the instructions to add it.
  8. PDF Layout Designer is installed and ready for use.
  9. To start the application locate the PDF Layout Designer icon on the desktop and click it to open.
