POS Button Configuration Export
The POS Button configuration Export and import utility makes it simple to easily copy button configurations to other registers. Quick Add Buttons can be configured at an administrative workstation for deployment out to registers for multiple different reasons;
- Manage like registers quickly without taking the register down while buttons are being reconfigured.
- Manage Quick Add buttons for events, such as weekend sales, shows, seasonal changes in inventory, etc.
- Location specific configurations.
- Can even be clerk specific if desired.
Exporting the button configuration
- From the Main screen in POS tap the Functions button.
- Tap the Register tab that appears on the right of the Functions screen.
- Tap the Register Setup button.
- The system Register Setup menu will appear, and the Button Settings tab will be open.
- Verify that the proper button configuration is displayed.
- Click the Export button
- The File Item form will appear, in the Item: field enter a unique name for the configuration being exported.
- Tap the OK button.
- The button configuration will be saved to file for import.
Importing the button configuration
- Starting from the register that you want to import the configuration to.
- Then from the Main screen in POS tap the Functions button.
- Tap the Register tab that appears on the right of the Functions screen.
- Tap the Register Setup button.
- The system Register Setup menu will appear, and the Button Settings tab will be open.
- If the register has not been configured no buttons will be defined.
- If the register configuration has been defined previously, verify that the proper button configuration is displayed. If you wish to save the current configuration, follow the export instructions above first then continue with step 8 below.
- Click the Import button
- The File Item form will appear, locate the configuration in the list to import.
- Tap it to select.
- Tap the OK button.
- The button configuration will be imported.
