Electronic Tape Log

The Electronic Ticket Log tracks all activity that takes place on a transaction. This is useful when troubleshooting or researching what actions the clerk took while creating the ticket. The log cannot be manipulated or deleted.

Electronic Tape Log

Register # - This field allows for entering the register number to view. The field defaults to the register number that opens the log.

Clerk - This field allows for entering the clerk number to view. The field defaults to the clerk number that is logged into POS for the register number that opens the log.

Date - This field allows for entering the date to view. The field defaults to the current date.


Viewing the Electronic Tape Log

  1. From the main form in POS tap the Functions button.
  2. Tap the Register tab that appears on the right side of the Functions screen.
  3. Tap the Electronic Tape Log button.
  4. When the form appears accept the defaults for Register #, Clerk, and Date, or change the selection as appropriate. Note to select tickets for all clerks leave the Clerk field blank.
  5. To only show tickets for the date selected click the By Date check box.
  6. Click the Search Log button.
  7. The register logs for the selection will appear in the grid.
  8. To view the detail for a log select it in the grid and the log's detail will appear in the scroll box below.
  9. To exit the form click the close button
