VisualMarina® [sysadmin]
VisualMarina® [sysadmin]
Purpose: The VisualMarina Parameters control the image resolution and display properties, default slip color legend, and the boat images that appear to designate a slip or rack as occupied.
You will need to define a Location for each marina, rack, or boatyard image created and define parameters for each image.
The Resolution and Center Point coordinates automatically update the VisualMarina Map when the "Save Display Scale" is selected while in the Configuration mode. Do not try to update these fields manually.
From the menu select System Administration, Configuration, VisualMarina.
If you enabled the Multiple Location option in the Inventory Parameters, you will see a Location window prior to entering the program. However, if your Clerk Id contains a Default Location and the Allow Location Override box is not enabled (checked), you will not see the Location Window; the system will automatically select a location and you cannot change it (see your System Administrator to change your Clerk Id options).
- Location Window - Click on the Location you are maintaining the VisualMarina Parameters for.
Center Point
This section determines the Center Point for the Map Image assigned to this location. The Resolution and Center Point coordinates are automatically updated when the VisualMarina is saved in Configuration mode. Do not try to update these fields manually.
- Center X - Click in the Center X prompt to enter an ‘x-coordinate’ center point for this location.
- Center Y - Click in the Center Y prompt to enter a ‘y-coordinate’ center point for this location.
Default Slip Colors
This selection defines the Slip Colors that designate the status of each slip based on the marina view selected. You can modify the colors shown to change the appearance of the VisualMarina map for each location.
- Available – Not occupied by a Transient or a Permanent Boat.
- Occupied – Occupied by a Transient or Permanent Boat.
- Partially Occupied – A linear slip that has room for additional boats.
- Temporary – Indicates a slip that is temporarily available for a Transient boat. Permanent boat has a temporary departure / return date in the boat file.
- Unusable – Slip is unusable for boat placement or transient reservations. This can be due to repairs on the slip, slip is too shallow, etc.
Boat Image File
Boat Image Files are used to display a picture of a boat in an Occupied or Partially Occupied slip. You can define up to 24 boat image files to account for the different angles that a slip can be drawn. A DockMaster technician will also maintain these images when your software is loaded. Please do not try to change these Image Files without first speaking with a Support Technician.
- File Name - Click in the File Name column to assign a Boat Image File Name to each Index number.
- Point Size - Click in the Point Size column to assign a Point Size to each Index number.
- Click the Save button to save the parameters.
Configuring the Marina
- Click the Configure Marina button to run the VisualMarina configuration program. This is the program that updates the Resolution and Center Point coordinates.
